IAI Email Security Alert

11/26/22

Recently several IAI members from the IAI contact list on the website have received phishing emails appearing to be from John Grassel, IAI president. These are all fraudulent.

One of the emails has this message:      "Do you have time today? I need you to complete an outstanding request for me. Send me an email back in regard to this, what the best number to text you on ?"

As with any emails you may receive, be alert to this type of activity. The most important thing is to not immediately click on any link or reply to the email unless you can verify its authenticity.

The easiest way to check the email is to hover your mouse over the return email address and you will see the actual email address from which it was sent.  The FROM name can easily be hacked but the email address cannot.

If you have any doubt at all contact the person appearing to have sent the email or contact the IAI office if you need more assistance.
