General Information
Mission Statement
To identify current applicable standards and best practices required for certification in Forensic Photography & Imaging, to establish a consistent and reliable means for determining when competency standards have been met in applying those standards and best practices, and to evaluate applicants and renewing certificants through a testing process that is fair and equitable to all.
Notice to Applicants/Trainers: recertification credits given for attending training classes and workshops have increased. Courses approved in the past, will now have one credit for each hour that was approved. Please refer to the New Operations Manual.
Notice to Applicants: As of 11/1/2021, the initial certification exam has been modified to no longer include the assignments of:
- Photograph 3 objects of evidence to be sized 1:1, and
Photograph 3 specialties (fire scene, electrostatic dust / Gel, Copy Document, Night Surveillance, Infrared, Aerial, Public Relations, Fluorescence).
